I am a Ph.D. candidate in Spanish linguistics in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Georgetown University.

My research is primarily in theoretical syntax and semantics (the interface especially). My dissertation explores this interface for nominal expressions in Spanish and other Romance languages, focusing on the relationship between the morphological and semantic expressions of gender, number, specificity, and reference.

I additionally collaborate on several NLP projects, including (i) annotation of tense, aspect, modality, and negation, and (ii) design of an intermediary language for human-agent/robot dialogue and collaboration.
